Job Description:
1 big thing: We’re looking for an account executive to join our growing professional services team within Axios HQ.
Why it matters: This role will play an integral role in building and growing professional services partnerships. Our professional services team makes our customers better communicators via training and consulting grounded in our proprietary Smart Brevity method for communications.
Go deeper: In this role, you will make an impact to Axios HQ through the following responsibilities:
- Establish and grow professional services partnerships with companies of all kinds.
- Collaborate with our services delivery team to design and pitch professional services programs that meet customers’ goals.
- Serve as a trusted client partner throughout the lifecycle—from prospecting to deal closure and occasionally through upsell and expansion.
- Become an advocate and evangelist for Axios HQ’s professional services - both internally and externally.
The details: Ideal candidates are entrepreneurial and have a passion for Axios HQ’s mission and values — raise the bar, stay curious, be inclusive, always, and champion each other — and have the following skills/experience:
- 4-6 years of direct professional experience, at least 3 years of direct selling experience
- Highly skilled at managing a multi-threaded sales process - involving multiple client stakeholders and decision makers using solution-selling principles and concepts.
- Strong fundamental sales skills including pain identification, storytelling, objection handling, and navigating a complex process to close business
- Collaborative - both internally and externally
- Proactive - able to prospect for new opportunities
- Consultative - takes a sales approach that responds to customer needs to build the right partnership
- Organized - manage your pipeline and your time efficiently, with a major emphasis on client responsiveness.
- Creative and open to trying to new ways of doing things

Don’t forget:

- Base range for this role is $90,000 - $120,000, total on-target earnings including variable compensation depend on experience and performance.
